Our first Altoona Palooza meeting of 2012 is on Thursday January 19^th at 5:30 p.m. at Fireside.  We would love to have you join us as we look ahead towards our event this coming August.  If you have volunteered in the past, we know that you have a talent to share and are passionate about growing events in Altoona.  We have so many volunteer opportunities within the Altoona Palooza committee – something for everyone to do.  We need the continued support of dedicated volunteers and community members like YOU to keep this event alive!

Please join us at our first committee as we brainstorm and discuss this year’s event.

Your hard work over the last 6+ months helped us make the 2nd Annual 2011 Altoona Palooza a HUGE success! With over 5,000 people attending the 1-1/2 days of the event, the word is getting out – this is a great Community Celebration!

We are already getting geared up for next year to be even bigger and better. But we can’t do it without your help. We are going to be planning fun and exciting brainstorming and planning sessions starting in November! We will send you the dates as soon as they are confirmed. Plan on having a fun time planning a fun event!

Both the Softball and Mud Volleyball tournament brackets have been filled!! Be sure to come Saturday and cheer on your favorite team! The Softball Tournament starts at 8 am and the Mud Volleyball starts at 10 am.

Admission is FREE to Altoona Palooza – but remember to bring some cash for eats, drinks, products, games – and Friday’s Wine Garden.

Friday’s Wine Garden will feature six Iowa Wineries – Grape Escapes, Madison County Winery, Rosey Acres, Santa Maria and Summerset! For only $10, you can enter the Wine Garden and sample wines. Free wine glasses will be provided to the first 100 people. Free snacks in the Wine Garden provided by Fareway. Bottles of wine will be available for purchase. However, if you are wanting to open your wine and drink at Palooza, be sure to bring your own corkscrew! You may open and drink your wine outside of the wine garden and in the Palooza area.

Please note: no open wine or other alcoholic beverage containers may be taken off of the Altoona Palooza designated area.
